I’ve just added a new plugin to the site that will be invaluable to all WordPress users that built their site’s pages with WPBakery. I’ve been using WPBakery for years on hundreds on projects and I’ve often been frustrated by it’s lack of some key features. So I decided to do something about it and built my own plugin to extend WPBakery and add in the features I use on the majority of projects. The plugin is called WPB Addons and is available on my Buy Me A Coffee store.
So What Does WPB Addons Do?
Our new WPB Addons plugin extends WPBakery with 3 main features:
Set your own font sizes and choose those font sizes in the WPBakery Text Box.
You can define your own custom font size classes using px, em, rem or even css variables. The plugin also reads any font sizes defined in the active theme.json file and creates classes to use these sizes in WPBakery.
Set custom background sizes, positions and z-index.
The default WPBakery background image controls are very limited and only allow you to set the size from a few options (cover, contain, no-repeat) and all background image positions are set to center center. WPB Addons allows you to specify exactly what size you want the background image to be and what position you want the image to be set to.
Adds a row overlay feature to add coloured overlays over row background images.
Normally if you want to add a coloured, semi-transparent, overlay to a background image in WPBakery you had to take the image in to your chosen editing software and add the overlay yourself. Now you can add an overlay directly in WPBakery with our add on. Simply choose your colour and opacity and WPB Addons will add a coloured overlay to your background image.
